Environmental design student organization

I brought our community closer. Due to it being the Environmental Design Major’s affiliated club, it was my responsibility to ensure deep connection between our peers. I did this through holding biweekly meetings full of activities and presentations I created, finding points of contact for services and projects that align with member’s wants, and researching for the best opportunities for our club to participate in. For our social and volunteer aspect of our club, I conducted a partnership with Little USA Solar + Freedom By Design on a master plan design project. Also, I provided a source for members to become a Certified Water Monitor though Alabama Water Watch volunteer program.

My proudest moment as president of EDSO was creating and holding our first Design Talk event.

As President of Auburn's Environmental Design Student Organization, I upheld the many responsibilities that come with running a school club.

About EDSO

EDSO strives to encourage conversation and community with Environmental Design Students & other design majors through monthly meetings, socials, and fundraisers. We also aim to promote the growth of our designers through competitions.

Getting People Together

The most difficult part of being President of EDSO after quarantining for Covid-19, was finding that connection we once had with each other. It was my job to ensure everyone was together and on the same page. So, I created detailed presentations of our plans and activities, and provided many ways to access the new information and opportunities. Also, I provided ample opportunities for club members to suggest their own ideas.

In the end, I know I made a huge improvement towards the future success of EDSO.
